Part I: Reception at the Visitors Center

Participants will start out by enjoying a cold or hot drink and a selection of our Bakery products. The bakery's uniqueness is exclusively used in ‘spelt’ flour – which is an ancient grain with many health benefits. All bakery products are handcrafted from natural raw materials and are of the highest quality, with the strict adherence to traditional manufacturing processes. A short video about the history of our unique bakery will accompany the visit.

Part II: Cheese Workshop

This workshop teaches the amazing process of turning goat’s milk into goat’s cheese. It is an introduction to the world of cheeses, types of cheese, the various steps of cheese production, basic principles for preserving cheese, the distinction between good and bad bacteria and the benefits of goat cheese. Each participant will receive a burner and goat’s milk, and will produce cheese and season it according to his or her taste. 

Part III: Wine and Cheese Tasting

After the Cheese Workshop, participants are invited to taste our range of boutique wines and cheeses made specially by the dairy, withfrozen goat yogurt to top it off.

Part IV: Visit to Spice Farm

You will then enjoy a specil visit to the The Spice Road Farm in Hera, where you will learn about each spice and the positive effect they have on our bodies –  better digestion, lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, sedation and even overcoming illness and distress. The tour will include a short lecture on the power of spices, accompanied by spicy examples, stories and tastings, along with a selection of hot fruit teas. The farm has over 200 types of spices, infusions, herbs and gourmet mixes of all kinds.

Part V: A Meat Dinner at Iskander Restaurant

Iskander Restaurant specializes in hot, delicious meat, turkey baked muffins and Turkish Balkans. Meats are served, sizzling in pans on the tables, for an authentic taste and atmostphere.

Included in the Meal: 

  • From the Tabun Oven: Lavash – traditional Turkish bread with chicken and sesame seeds
  • Selection of salads 
  • Main Dish 1: Traditional Majadra from the Taurus Mountains (scented rice), potatoes seasoned with garlic olive oil and rosemary, and Istanbul Chicken Wings in a spicy sweet chili sauce.
  • Main Dish 2: Mix of meats served on a hot frying pan, accompanied by roasted antipasti vegetables with authentic seasoning, spicy chunks of Oriental Poppy Iskander Kachker style kebab, chicken breast
  • Dessert: Homemade Turkish vanilla ice cream
  • Cold Drinks: Orange drink, lemonade, water, coffee, Turkish, tea, mint, or  instant coffee
